Evaluation for Anxiety and Depression

A comprehensive evaluation aims to provide a thorough understanding of the individual's strengths, challenges, and needs related to anxiety and depression, guiding the development of tailored interventions to improve functioning and quality of life. This may include:

  • Clinical Interview: A detailed interview with the individual and their caregivers to gather developmental history, medical history, and social and emotional concerns.

  • Standardized Assessments and Behavior Rating Scales: Administration of standardized tests and the completion of behavior rating scales by the individual and/or caregivers to gather information about anxiety and depressive symptoms and the impact on daily functioning.

  • Feedback and Recommendations: Providing feedback to caregivers and the individual about assessment findings, diagnosis (if applicable), and recommendations for interventions and support strategies. This may include educational/employment accommodations, behavioral strategies, and therapeutic options.

  • Formal Written Report: A detailed report summarizing assessment results, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for treatment and support.
