Comprehensive Developmental Evaluation 

A comprehensive developmental psychological evaluation is a detailed assessment process designed to understand a child's cognitive, emotional, social, and learning development. This evaluation is tailored to each individual and aims to identify developmental delays and learning disabilities providing a clear picture of the child's strengths and areas needing support. The evaluation may include:

  • Clinical Interview: The evaluation begins with a thorough interview with the caregivers to gather detailed information about the child's developmental history, family background, medical history, and any specific concerns. 

  • Review of Records: The clinician reviews existing medical, educational, and developmental records to gather background information and understand previous assessments and interventions.

  • Direct Assessment: Administration of standardized tests to assess for developmental disorders and learning disabilities and is tailored to meet your child's needs.

  • Feedback Session: Once all assessments are complete, a feedback session is held with caregivers to discuss the findings, provide a diagnosis (if applicable), and outline recommendations for interventions, therapies, and support strategies.

  • Formal Written ReportA comprehensive report is provided, summarizing the evaluation results, diagnostic impressions, and specific recommendations for educational and therapeutic interventions.​​
